Welcome To Bubble-O-Meter

A2LA Accredited and NIST Traceable Gas Flow Meters

New - 4000 ml Bubble-O-Meter

New - 50th Year Anniversary Special Offer Section

We offer the original soap bubble gas flow meter (The Bubble-O-MeterTM), patented by Michael Czuha, Jr. in 1959: A primary standard of gas flow measurement for 50 years.

Bubble-O-Meter, LLC. has remained a small family company since our inception. Our only business is the manufacture, calibration & distribution of Bubble-O-Meter Gas Flow Meters and related accessories. Our products are in use worldwide in education, research, aerospace, defense, metrology, medical, & manufacturing applications.

The Bubble-O-Meter products measure the flow of all gases at various temperatures without recalibration over a wide range of flow rates.

There are three versions of most Bubble-O-Meters:

Standard: Not Traceable or Certified.

NIST Traceable: Serialized and calibrated with instruments traceable to the National Institute of Standards and Technology.

A2LA Accredited and NIST Traceable: Serialized and calibrated with instruments traceable to the National Institute of Standards and Technology. Independently tested and certified by a Metrology Laboratory registered to ISO 9001:2000 and accredited to ISO/IEC 17025 by A2LA and ANSI/NCSL Z540-1. The Bubble-O-Meters are calibrated in accordance with ASTM E694. The certification provides an actual value at specific fluid and air temperatures including barometric pressure and humidity. Specific error potential is also quantified.

The Bubble-O-Meter is very simple to operate. Fill the bulb with Bubble Fluid, start the gas flow thru the inlet tube, compress the bulb to create a bubble, & time it as it rises between the calibration marks. You now can accurately compute the volumetric rate of the gas flow.

If necessary, adjust the flow rate to standards of temperature & pressure using the formulas on the nomograph.
